ESPN.com Article - Confrenence says refs messed up
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncw/news/story?id=2734847
Well, it has always been my understanding that even if the clock reads 00.0 the game is not over until the horn sounds and the lights come on. I've played with scoreboards before, and if you mess around, you can get the clock to read 00.0 without the horn sounding. There is still time left in that computer, its just the scoreboard can't show it. I know we are talking time that is barely recognizable when it passes by in full motion. But with the review, if the ref says that the ball was out of the player's hand when that LED light came on, then that's good enough for me. Not what any coach, confrence official, or anybody else says. Thoughts? |
