Good sportsmanship
Boys varsity last night. Underdog team at home plays a great game against a much better and much taller team. Great crowd and just a loud, great atmosphere the entire night. Home team leads the whole way until about the last 2 minutes of the game. They fight valiantly but end up losing by about four.
We're in the locker room afterwards and we get a knock on our door. A player from the losing home team comes in, with tears in his eyes, and shakes hands with all 3 of us and thanks us for reffing. What a great kid.
