IF the game was as closely contested as you indicate, certainly a bit of preventative work could have addressed the issue before the T; i.e., during a FT or TO, a word to this player that the act could be unsportsmanlike and penalized, and therefore should cease results in two affects. Without drawing attention to yourself, you've managed the situation and the game continues without further incident and the player will have LEARNED from an official...something we all should strive to impart from our experience with kids at the high school level.
