I honestly don't want the T making the call if it's a secondary defender drawing the contact. I would hope the T is refereeing the primary defender.

I see your block and raise you a held ball...

btw...this looks like something the C should take.

Okay, I'm not especially good at college men's ball. Thus my schedule.

Please explain how you get block. I could imagine the held ball.

It's a joke. Not a block. Not a held ball. A little humor to brighten our day.

geeze...

HTBT, but if I was C I would love to have this call.

How can we assume the C has a good look at this? There are 6 other players on the court and if the C stepped the wrong way he/she could be blocked. I think there are too many possibilities with a still picture.

We can't, hence the "had to be there" part of my post. I'm saying that if the C was in a position to make a good call on this, and I was that C, I think it would be a great call to have as a C.

Well, White Coach definitely has it as a charge.

Yeah Tom you're right. Based on the picture we were given the C has absolutely no view on the play.

Was he the primary ball defender? If so, I probably want T to have this call.

Is he a help defender coming from the block in L's primary? If so, I probably want L to have this call.

Has he been standing in the middle of the lane the whole time? If so, I probably want C to have this call.

So, it depends- but I want the call to come from the official who has been refereeing the defense.

Ding, ding, ding...we have a winner! :)

The offensive player was whistled for the foul. The player in the middle was not the primary defender.

OHBBREF Thu Dec 07, 2006 02:29pm

let me guess the Martin Lawrence (guy on the right) was the primary defender - I know this because he is looking upward after he got beat down the lane.

JRutledge Thu Dec 07, 2006 02:36pm

Martin Lawrence??

Peace

OHBBREF Thu Dec 07, 2006 02:40pm

JRutledge Thu Dec 07, 2006 02:42pm
