Mechanics Video

I tried to search for a thread on this, so I apologize if I'm creating a dup here.

Have any of you seen and would recommend the 2-man mechanics video from officiating.com? I would like to get something to help me get better this year and there is only so much I can get from the NFHS officials manual.

if you don't like that video, any other you might recommend?

thanks

Referee magazine/NASO puts out a good book that I personally bought several years ago. I have no comment on the videos other than they sponsor this site and a paying customer would probably be appreciated.

Try the two man mechanics dvd at www.ultimatepregame.com. It is excellent. The two man mechanics video from officiating.com is okay, but we found the ultimate pregame to be much better. I think they have taken the dvd off their website, but they may still have some dvd's available.

your best bet is probably to get a local experienced ref to teach you. I'm always in favor of books and videos when they'll help, but I would think some on-floor, real-time coaching would be even better.

I only wish this would be enough, I just finished the apprentice class and they do have a couple of mechanics classes scheduled, but my knowledge will be slim to none when I get on the court for the first time this season, which I hope will be very soon. So anything to give me a heads up, or at least getting me to the same level of the other guys in my class, would be welcome.
