Per Rule 9-4, TRAVEL, KICK, FIST....

Sorry. Yes there is.
Rule 9-4... states a player shall not strike the ball with a fist or cause it to enter the basket from below.

What are the proper signals for these calls? I can't remember having these type of situations in 7 yrs of officiating.

Blow the whistle, raise the open hand, point the direction, indicate the throw-in spot. No other specific signal.

I've never had it either. Without knowing if there's an actual mechanic, I'd probably put my open palm up and point to the rim similar to what I'd do on a BI. I might also wave off the basket depending on how the play looked. I'd like to hear the if I'm right. Has anyone ever called this?

It's #260 on page 43 of the <b>OFFICIALS MANUAL</b>. In (b), there is no official violation signal to give, so you simply follow the other procedures. Verbalizing it is a good idea also, of course.
