I have always been a leather guy but my favorite Converse shoes are discontinued. Any recommendations for a leather shoe that will take and sustain traditional polish?

Have you checked out the new "New Balance 610" (High Shine) model? They were promoted in the November, 2006 issue of Referee Magazine on page 40. They retail for $63 but I noticed them being advertised in this month's (Dec.) issue of Referee Magazine (inside back cover) with Purchase Officials www.purchaseofficials.com priced at $59. They're promoted as a leather upper shoe with a "pre-shine" finish.
Good luck! |

I bought them also. They look and feel great! They are not the patent leather style. They are a good leather shoe with a natural shine. The back has a small patch of nylon web material, but no pull tab like the cross trainer.

I'll go to the New Balance web site soon. I need the mid-cut for support. |

Starting to like my 2006-007 addition of "Reebok The Ref" shoes.
Big fan of NBalance here, but certainly worth a look. Patent Leather. |

Honig's has the New Balance 888, which is not the same as the 610.
