New NBA Uniform Rules

Well, it looks like we won't be arguing anymore about what Dwayne Wade is wearing( )....or any other NBA player, for that matter.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baske...iformity_x.htm

- no tights
- no long compression socks
- one 4" wide max wristband on each wrist and no wristbands worn on the biceps
- no headbands wider than 2"
- jerseys have to be tucked in before a player can enter the game.

Put that together with the new rule on complaining and it should be interesting.

Dang, kind of sounds like they've been talking to the NFHS.

Wanna know what's really funny?

The NBA officials will enforce it more uniformly and strictly than FED officials will.

The rule on compression socks must not be too strict; Wade was on TV Wednesday wearing the same thing he wore last year. The only difference was the sleeves on his knees were black and the socks were white. They still met and they would still look like tights if there were the same color. But in the immortal words of little Johnny, "I like the way you're thinking."

Exactly! This is one of our biggest problems.

Well, no offense, but that's the "big N.S.", as my wife would say. They only have 60 officials to keep in line. The FED has thousands! How could literally thousands of officials be more uniform than 60? Additionally those 60 officials are in the top 100 officials in the country. How many FED officials can make that claim?

Anything that the NBA mandates will be enforced more uniformly than anything the FED mandates.

Several hundred, at least.

Ummm, yeah probably. Then again, Stern has announced he wants his players to keep their guns at home and not with them in the locker room.

By the way, I would like to know JR when you hand out your first technical for delay of game due to water being on the floor.

1) Now if we can just get the parents to keep their guns at home:

2) If it's done after that team has already received a delay-of-game warning of some kind, then you just issue a "T". Not a big deal. What am I missing here?

Nothing, I'm just curious as to when one of these gets handed out - that's all.
