You're working now, we need a real basketball post before
we all go nuts! We don't care what it is, go ahead and
make something up. As long as it starts with "In my game
last night...". Here are some possible topics:

- The coach was a real gem...
- The game was huge...
- The game was sh*t...
- Had a multiple foul, only took 20 minutes to explain...
- My partner drove me nuts...
- I drove my partner nuts...
- If I hear "call the handcheck!" one more time...

This should keep us amused until next Friday at least.

Go ahead, get him all worked up! I have to do a game with him in a few weeks.

in my game last night....

Working with a state finals ref, 20+ years....
I'm Lead and near the other end with four players.
Under a minute in first half.

White is being moderately pressured; White got the ball in and the pressure backed off. White spotted W54 just over midcourt, in the front court, and threw the ball to her. W54 lifted one foot, with her other foot remaining in the front court, cleanly caught the pass and stepped onto the backcourt in front of my partner. No call. I wasn't fishing in that pond.

At half-time intermission, I asked about the play.
Partner said, "Yeah, I saw it." I asked ,"Why didn't you call the Over-and-back?"

Answer: "...uh, all three-points weren't over yet."

Question: "But that only applies to the dribbler, doesn't it?"

Answer: "...er, but the ball never gained the front court."

;)

Tony,
Clyde is solid in stature and mechanics. I'm thinking I don't need either whistle that night.
He's so good, I may surprise him and not even show U.P.
