Backcourt Violation

A1 has the ball and takes a shot while in the front court. The ball hits the backboard and is not touched by any player and rolls to the back court. Can A1 or any of his/her team members retrieve the ball?
Is this a Backcourt Violation?

A1 may retrieve the ball without violating. Team control ended with the release of the try for goal.

If A1's teammate tapped the ball to the backcourt on the rebound, can A1 retrieve without incurring a backcourt penalty?

Yes they can, tapping the ball does not establish Team Control.
