Inbounding ball

A1 is inbounding the ball and B1 slaps the ball out of A1's hands. The ball is behind the line.

T on B1, is it assessed as a team foul and personal foul?

Yes, both. Add one to the team foul count, one to the player's T count, which is also one added to the personal foul count.

In hiigh school ball, all player and bench T's are both a personal and a team foul (for the purposes of the counts). There are a few team technicals that are not charged to any one player, but no player technicals that aren't team fouls. Got it?

Properly stated this is a player technical foul. It also counts as a team foul towards the bonus for the opponent.

It is NOT a personal foul. However, it does count as one of the five total fouls towards that player's disqualification.
