Summer Tournament Pay
 

What is the going rate for pay for officials during summer league games and tournaments? Is it close to the regular season pay or less? Just wondering what other associations and other parts of the country are paying their officials for summer league tournaments and games.

There is no set fee. It varies from one league to another. Usually the pay is less than half what we get during the regular season. So from anywhere from $17-25 is not an unusual.

Around here it's usually the same as we charge for rec games, $18 - $20, although I had one tourney pay $30/game. Too bad that was only a four team tourney ;)

Most of the camps around here pay $10-$15 a game. Some tournaments go up to $16 that I know of, but that is the best I know of.

I am doing a camp in two weeks pay $30 a game in NH. It is a university camp with the UNH Basketball team. Thats the usual price for a game in NH. Pardon me if I appear as though I am bragging, but I see $18 and I just laugh... Thats rough!

Around here there are a few organizations that have tournaments every weekend until the first part of August. They pay either $20 or $22 per game. You may get anything from 4th grade to 12th grade...all games pay the same.

I'm doing a summer league and it pays $25 straight up no % off the top.
