Stackhouse suspended for Game 5
Personally, I was amazed he wasn't ejected. I certainly would eject a HS player who fouled in such a way.
Further, I'd bet the NBA would not have suspended him if he had been ejected. I'm sure the Mavs, given their preference, would rather have lost him in a Game 4 blowout that not having him for Game 5. |
Yep.
Of course, this is all a conspiracy to prevent a team owned by Mark Cuban from winning the title. :D |
Wow, I must be hungry, I thought this said, "Steakhouse suspended for Game 5."

For some reason I am thinking that a NBA player who recieves a Flagrant 2 foul is kicked out of the game and also suspended for the next game. |
No. Suspensions for flagrant fouls are always left up to the league office. The only offenses that result in an automatic suspension per the rule book is leaving the bench during an altercation and contacting an official.
For a flagrant 2, the rule book states: Any player who is assessed a flagrant foul—penalty (2) must be ejected and will be fined a minimum of $1,000.The incident will be reported to the Basketball Operations Department. Further, concerning flagrant fouls: Whether or not said player(s) is ejected, a fine not exceeding $35,000 and/or suspension may be imposed upon such player(s) by the Commissioner at his sole discretion. |
