NBA lane violations

I caught the last half of the 2nd quarter of the Cleveland-Detroit game and there were two lane violations called - wow! Is that an NBA record?
After the first violation was called - against Cleveland - when Billups shot the 2nd FT it looked like, pretty clearly imo, his right toe was on the line (the camera angle was perfect!) - I guess calling that would have been overkill on lane violations at an NBA level?
Just an observation - objective, too! :)

The reason it's so rare to see a lane violation in the NBA is that the rule is different from the FED or NCAA rule. (Big surprise.) In the NBA, you can step into the lane as long as you're out again before the ball is released. So you sometimes see guys step in but quickly get back in their space. And that's ok.
