What do I need do to pursue a career in basketball officiating

I have been in IT career for 15 years andd have just been laid off. I have always wanted to be big time basketball official what do I need to do.

See start.officiating.com But I'll tell you this from someone who got into officiating just to get some extra dough. It is enough to get you to McDonalds but not enough to make a living on. See Monster.com for now to get a new job and see the above website to start officiating next fall.
