In High School, after a player shoots their 'T' shots, where do you inbound the ball from? I thought the inbound is always from mid court opposite the table. But I've had 2 officials say there are some situations where you inbound from where the 'T' occured. Example: Player grabs the net during a free throw -- they said you inbound from under the basket.

Perhaps, the boys are thinking of intentional fouls that are 2 throws and OOB at nearest point of getting caught.

I agree about the intentional. I wondered if they were thinking of the way the rules might have been years ago. Did 'T's used to be inbounded like this in the past?

Rules 7-5-8 and 7-5-10 locate the throw-in spot after a technical, double technical, or simultaneous technical fouls as "the division line on the side of the coourt opposite the scorers' and timers' table."

Intentional personal and flagrant personal fouls result in a throw-in from the out-of-bounds spot nearest the foul. (7-5-11)
