One coach in our area is very vocal according to a lot of the officials. He doubles as the AD & signs the checks and it seems every game involving his team have discussions. Well, I travel up to that area for work once a week and usually get the local weekly when there. On page one was a color photo of several educators dressed up in Hawaiian garb for a benefit. The coach was wearing a grass skirt and was obviously hoping the picture would get cropped. I sent this picture to a neighbor who usually calls two or three of his games and suggested that in pre-game that he tell the coach he has the picture in his pocket and is not afraid to use it. And instead of the stop sign, he could simply say "Grass Skirt". Other officials could simply say that Larry let them borrow the picture for the night.
