Tid Bits
Last week I got some good ideas and tips on "cleaning your whistle".
I felt this would be a good topic along with others to conduct at an association meeting. So, what I am looking for are ideas and suggestions other officials use in "cleaning and keeping a striped shirt look clean, whites are white, blacks are black....Keeping a jacket neat and clean, keeping out the wrinkles, not allowing a patch to shrivel during washing/ drying . Care of shoes, keeping clean and polished, sanitised. Thanks for the help |
I always roll my pants and shirt up [seperately] and that seems to avoid wrinkles, even when carrying them in a backpack with shoes and other odds/ends crammed in.

I use mouth wash to clean my whistles. I don’t use high heat when I dry my shirts

I have found that shoe trees are a cheap way of getting more life out of your shoes.

A simple way of keeping a jacket (the zippered Sahara-type jacket) clean and neat is to always fold and store it inside out.
When I take it off during introductions at the table, it's removed so that it's inside out. I zipper it and fold it like that. No lint, hair, dirt, etc., gets on the outside of the jacket. To be honest, I rarely wash the jacket as it makes the outside fade. Of course, I only wear it for about 30 minutes prior to each game and never put it back on until before my next game. |
A "tid bit"?

Now...again....what's a "tid" in a tidbit? Inquiring minds need to know. |
