Doggone it, the day I'm not there, and the talk gets really interesting.

By the way, Tony, if you want some good info about "kidney kids", here's an excellent website, with a lot of good links.

I agree, good call.

By the way, Billy seems to think that because HE can see which player touched the ball last in slow motion, that the officials should be able to. Granted they made their best call, but come on, Jim wasn't even for sure watching the re-play.

If only Billy was in stripes...

At least then he'd get fired.

Now there's a fun idea. I would pay to see an NCAA game with Packer as an official. I'm sure that there would be plenty of hollering!

I like the sound of this: (no pun intended )

P.S.- For extra credit, why not consider sending a commentator-less stadium feed down the SAP (Separate Audio Program) channel. We would prefer to listen to the game just as those who are there do, without any commentators- just the pure adrenaline of the crowd.

I wonder if this has ever been considered by any of the stations.

Fox does this for at least some of its NFL games. I actually use it pretty often during football season.

I must be one of those strange people who needs someone to talk to me during the game. I watched a college football game on TV with no announcers once. It was quite surreal. Plus, I didn't even learn what the 3rd string tight end's aunt's middle name is.

When the CBC was dealing with a strike this past fall, the CFL games had no announcers other than the PA guys at the stadiums. Now if they could only get rid of those d*** stereo systems at NHL & NBA games, the live experience would be greatly enhanced.

I actually like having the announcers there. It helps a lot. Whatever they say, I pretty much know the opposite is true. I'm not left to my own questions and debates.
