Completely ignoring bebanovich's complex economic discussion, I"ll just report on ref pay in the Portland, Oregon area.
Varsity is around $45 JV is around $40 Frosh around $38 ish JH $25? $28? It depends on which size school. Girls/boys games are the same pay. If you do a doubleheader, you get the sum of what you would have gotten if you did those games separately. All games are 2-whistle.
