What is the procedure for a player that is found with the right name and wrong jersey number in the game? This player was a starter and he committed a foul, it was report and then found out that the wrong number was in the book. This was an AAU Game. We use Federation Rules and I was trying too see what should have been done.

Technical foul:

1)unless one for a similar infraction had previously been assessed.

2) assuming the wrong information was given to the scorer. If the right information was given to the scorer but s/he incorrectly put it in the book, no penalty.

Thanks, thats what we did, gave a technical when it was discovered. It was the coaches fault and he admitted it.

Were you my partner this weekend. I'm in VA and did an AAU game and had that same occurrence.

We had the same situation in a girls V game earlier this year. Gave Admin T, listened to the coach whine, finished the game with no complaints.
