The only time you will not switch with anyone if you are the Trail table side when you made a call and you will then stay Trail in that situation.

If you are told not to long switch like in my state, then you do not have to worry about going table side in the BC.

Why is this so difficult to understand?

Peace
The idea is to come up with rules which cover what all the officials do, not just the calling official.

And why is THAT necessary?

I can't believe we have a 2-page thread on this....

Agreed, it's not hard. "Report and stay." "Bump and run."

I'm out of ideas, unless you include not going table side on a T then that's another 3 and that would be 18.

In short, there are:

1) 3 possible officials;
2) 3 possible 'scenarios': staying (shooting or not), going the other way (throw-in), and going the other way (shooting);
3) 2 possible initial positions for an official (tableside or opposite).

3x3x2 = 18

for trail:
staying (shooting or not), tableside
staying (shooting or not), opposite
going opposite, tableside
going opposite, opposite
shooting opposite, tableside
shooting opposite, opposite

for lead:
staying (shooting or not), tableside
staying (shooting or not), opposite
going opposite, tableside
going opposite, opposite
shooting opposite, tableside
shooting opposite, opposite

for center:
staying (shooting or not), tableside
staying (shooting or not), opposite
going opposite, tableside
going opposite, opposite
shooting opposite, tableside
shooting opposite, opposite

And you need to know all these various scenarios for what reason?

Peace

This is an odd post...but whatever floats your boat!

I agree with the folks who are simplifying the 3-person game for you (if you're intending on learning it or teach it). If it's just for curiosity sake, then the easiest way to look it up is to read the CCA manual...do you have one?

Just looking for a way to say "Three cheeseburgers" instead of "Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger."
