Girls JV summer league this afternoon was really, really fun - NOT! After calling about 50 violations in the first half, I wasn't in the mood for Coach A to start on my partner and me, which he did in the second half. Anyway, team B inbounds in backcourt after a made basket by A. Team A is pressing. I am trail. I'm showing a visible count, and the ball is touched in the frontcourt when my count was just going from 8 to 9.

Coach A yells at me, "Where were you at?", meaning where was I at in the count. My reply, "I was in the backcourt, Coach. Didn't you see me?"

He got that "George W. look" on his face and sat down. Mission accomplished.

I hope he's not the English teacher at that school!!!

I hope he's not the basketball coach, either.

Just think, Juulie - if Mike Brannon hadn't shown up at the last minute, you would have been switched to my gym and you would have had this clown. He was with one of the Vancouver, WA teams, and I had him at The Hoop in Vancouver about 5 weeks ago. He didn't like me then, either.

Boo-hoo. I hate when coaches don't like me. It really bothers me - for about a millisecond.

Even the "site supervisor" who came imto the Aux gym to get me, warned me about the guy!!
