High school game. After a warning, B2 is whistled for a "delay of game" infraction. Later, B2 is whistled for his second "delay of game" infraction.

Questions:

Q - Does the first technical foul count as a personal and team foul?
Q - Is B2 ejected after receiving his second "delay of game" infraction?
Q - Does B2's second infraction count as a team foul?
Q - If B2 ejected, does he sit a one-game suspension?

Your help would be appreciated in the North!

As a ref it is not are job to worry about is someone going to be suspeneded or not. That also varries by state I'm sure. But to answer your question I would say that he prob wont sit out one game, assuming the state looks at the report, and not just sees the 2 tec part.

1. Team techanical foul
2. No
3. Yes
4. Not covered by the rules.

I mean this with all respect, do you have a rulebook?

I agree with Fonzzy and Snake~eyes about the suspension, and I suspect that Snake~eyes' answers are correct, but...

There are different types of Delay of Game infractions. Some are charged to players and some are charged to the team. I think that all technical fouls that are preceded by an official warning for Delay would be assessed as Team technical fouls. In that case, the technical fouls only count toward the team foul count. They are not charged to any player or coach.

If the Delays were of the type that are assessed to a player, then all of those technicals fouls would count as personal fouls and team fouls. The player would be ejected for receiving two player technical fouls.

We would need a little bit more information about the nature of the Delay call to know for sure.

Correct, except for the part in red. The fouls count towards the kid's total of five for DQ, but are still classified as technical fouls not personal fouls.

And which delays are assessed to a player???

10-3-6

A player shall not:

Delay the game by such acts as:

a. Preventing the ball from being made live promptly or from bing put into play.
b. Failing when in possession, to immediately pass the ball to the nearer official when a violation or foul is called.
c. The free thrower fails to be in the free-throw semi-circle when the official is ready to administer the free throw unless the resumption-of-play procedure is in effect following a time-out or intermission.
d. Repeated violation of the throw-in, as in 9-2-9, 10.
