Friday night, Boys Varsity Game. Two teams playing needed a win to secure second place. During pregame, we looked over and saw the commissioner of our board. No problem, we worked the game by the book, by the numbers. A team down by two points, the B team is in the double bonus. My partner called a foul on A team. My partner is opposite the table and I am in the trail. After the call, the A coach looks at me and say that call was F***ing Bulls***t. Needless to say, he meet Mr. T. at that point and time. Then he looks at me and asks how could I "T" him at that point of the game? I explained to him that I cant tolerate such language, especailly when he said it so loud that the whole gym just about heard it. Long story short, he lost the game. Then the commissioner comes in the office and was asking what happened. I told him and the losing coach was waiting for me after the game. I told the commissioner that I didnt have anything to say to him. Do you know that the commissioner brought the loosing coach into the office where we were? Even though the coach wanted to appologize, I really thought that was an unethical move. Comments??

I'm always willing to listen to an apology. Most of them even sound sincere. All of us make mistakes. I know that I have apologized to coaches for some of mine and I would not have been thrilled if they had told me that they didn't want to hear it, although I would have understood.

I do think that the commish should have let you know beforehand what the coach's intention/desire was and then escorted him to your lockerroom.
