hey guys. I want to work games year round and AAU has been suggested. How do you get started with them.

You need to ask the people in your area this question. Next time you go to a social function, banquet or when you work with other officials ask these officials how they work the games and who assigns them. Not all areas are that heavy in AAU or summer youth ball. Usually someone just assigns it and you have to talk to the people that assign it. In my area someone usually contacts and assignor or fellow officials and they assign it. There is not much organization outside of that way of assigning.

You can also go to aau.org and there is a link for officials information, applications and such for the national officials.

You can also go to AAUBB.com, and goto tournament search. Then search for tournaments in your area and start reaching out to people. That's what worked for me.
