Thanks for all the posts. To put an end to this, I was the C that called nothing on this play. The other 2 officials got together, and the T that called the shooting foul said that since the L whistled his foul first, he would wave his off. We went to the line and shot the bonus.

I didn't say anything about it at the time, but we did discuss it after the game and determined that both fouls should have been assessed and penalized, however, we never came to a consensus at that time as to how exactly the penalties for both fouls should have been assessed.

So you let a player foul the airborne shooter and get away with not getting penalized for it? WOW! Remember that this is a personal foul whether the ball is live or dead, so it doesn't just go away.
What was coach's reaction to your partner, the T, rescinding his foul? Since the play was goofy anyway, I'm actually surprised that you didn't have three fouls on the play with the penalty for the last one being 2 shots and the ball at the division line. :D


Oh well, live and learn...

But I'll bet that you'll never allow that to happen again. ;)
