Here's One...

George Toliver's Basketball Officials School in Harrisonburg

D3 Supercamp in Richmond

Time Out Referee School at American U.
http://www.macboa.org/training/training.html

The Referee's Choice Basketball Officials Camp @ Virginia Tech
http://www.geocities.com/refereeschoice/camp.html

VHSL holds a good camp at Virginia Commonwealth U. that is a good first camp, if you haven't worked much 3-person or are relatively new then this would be a goodcamp. The information will be posted on http://www.vhsl.org/ when it gets closer to summer time.

And then Tolliver's as mentioned above. Those are all the camps I know of in VA, I can give you more camps if you want to go out of state but all these camps are suppose to be great camps. I can suggest a specific one for you if you tell me your experience and what you're looking to do.

Thanks for you help..Last year I went to John Holt's camp in Morgantown,Wva and that was a great camp.Looking to get into womens college basketball at any level..If you have any info on other states close to me that would sound great for example, MD,WVA,NC,SC,PA all these states if you have any info on them.

Sold12,

Where are you located in VA? The Capital Conference (D3) is a good conference in the area. All the schools are within 3 hours of Fairfax. Paul Plott is the assignor. You can get his info from http://www.cboboff.com

Also, Time-Out is a good camp where the Maryland JUCO conference picks up his officials.

Hope this helps.

I was going to suggest Paul Plott's Camp for D3 basketball, Capital Conference as stated above. Good place to try and start.

If you want to work JUCO then go to Timeout, from what I have been told you are almost guaranteed to be picked up on the women's side, if you are any good.

Anyone know of any ARIZONA Camps besides the camps held at ASU each year?????

AZ_REF Wed Feb 08, 2006 03:27pm

In addition to the AIA camp at ASU (which may not happen this year if Evans gets fired) there's the Big Sky camp, which generally has two or three different 4 day sessions. And down in Tucson we have the Southern Arizona Officials camp which runs for three one week sessions. Dates for both of the latter are not avaliable yet, but as soon as they are I'll post them here.

Camps

Sold12: If you live in the VA area, there is the Mid-South Camp hosted by Tommie Salerno and Bill Stokes and is located at UNC-Charlotte. I went last year and it was a good camp (Women's Ball) and many folks attended from VA. Bill Stokes is the Supervisor for SEC, Peachbelt while Salerno is the supervisor for the DIII Dixie Conference. The Charlotte camp is June 9-11; contact information is (336) 852-4799.
