reffed a frosh game tonight. 28 point blowout. Not ONCE did the coaches complain about a call, raise their voice about lack of calls, nothing! In a way, I was actually bored! No excitement, no controversy, no burning ref effigies. I felt like I should make a horrid call just to mix things up! Tight, intense games are SO much more fun to ref.

Wow, where do you work?! Sounds like a fantastic night (if not slightly surreal.)

I had a varsity boys game like that last Friday. Neither head coach said a word to either of us the entire game, except when requesting a time out. Close to the wire, too.
