Good argument for a shot clock. But, that is the ONLY reason for a shot clock and it rarely comes into play. I think I've had one shot clock violation this year in HS ball.
I was doing 3-man last night and we never flexed. Every time I was about to, the shot went up, there was a turnover or a drive to the hoop. Just "one of those games."
Point is, teams don't run much pattern ball anymore. In your case it was pattern to the extreme!
