A friend and I were doing a girls JV game a few days ago. We were talking before the game about getting some new stuff and he said he had heard of new beltless pants with a drawstring inside. I thought he was kidding, but he said he was serious. Anyone seen these or know what he's talking about? This is the first time I've heard of them.

I thought parachute pants went out in the 80's?

Hey, I'm not making this stuff up -- and this guy is a really good official. In fact he and his crew did a state championship football game two years ago.

I know they have "referee" shorts with an interior drawstring. Haven't heard about any pants.

I've NEVER been accused of being in. :D

I've also never actually been in parachute pants, either. But I've seen an actual parachute.

I haven't heard of them. Then again, I would think the chances of someone coming out with them now would be a bad marketing choice since the season is almost over. Either way, I think I'll stick with the Honig's pants. So far, so good!

Ever see the show "What Not to Wear?" Drawstring pants are a no-no. :)
