Talking

Boys 4A tonight. Neither team ahead by more than 4 the entire way. Black (visitor) up two with 8 seconds left and white (home) drives the lane and obliterates the defender. Easy P/C call. Got the all-crowd boo from one side and the "great call" cheer from the other. In one town, I am loved tonight and in the other I am being burned in effigy. I love this game.

You probably arent even loved in the town that won. Isnt it our lot in life that the winner won despite the officials and the loser lost because of them. Seems no one is ever happy. Though every now and then you do get a game where one side actually thanks you for a great game. Sounds like that was you tonite.

Great gutsy call by the way

A wise man once asked: We get blamed when they lose, so why don't we get the credit when they win?

Or is this better? A wise man once asked: We get blamed when they lose, so why dont we get the credit when the other team wins?

We do. Just picked up my hometown sports page. Varsity bball coach attributed the visiting team's win to the officials.
