Sad to say, but I've noticed over the last month or so this lmeadski guy tends to post threads, then delete them. It's annoying.

He did this yesterday, then again just now.

Stop it.

Agreed it is very annoying.

I've done it twice

in the past week, not over the last month. Both posts, I felt, were a bit weak and offered very little to the forum. I should have thought out my query better before posting. I will be more careful in the future about getting my posts right the first time.

Im just curious, why would deleting a post be annoying?

Well if there were responses it would help other people coming hear and can spawn other interesting conversations.

Agreed snake eyes. I think both of them had one reply, and one of the replies refered to how stupid the question was. I wouldn't delete a thread with a number of responses or great value.

Exactly. That's what happens with the annual off-topic baseball thread; which should be re-appearing in just a couple months. :)

lmeadski --

It's annoying to others who have similar "weak" questions, but are afraid to post them. They see your post, and think, "Oh, yeah, I get my question answered" and then the post disappears. You are speaking for many, and then effectively stopping halfway through your sentences.

But furthermore, I don't htink your questions are that weak. If you post a sort of vague or convoluted situation, and then in the answer the various elements are sorted out and nailed down, then everybody wins.

You haven't been offensive (at least no mroe than the average bear) and you certainly don't wander off-topic much, so you're not bugging us any!

So relax! Sit down and have a cup of coffee, and enjoy the conversation. Getting there is half the fun!
