on first look, it definitely looked to me like a travel. As they showed the replays, I began to think about what the official (lead) who called it was looking at. My guess is that he didn't think the initial contact (imo, all initiated by the offensive player) was not enough to warrant a call, and when the dribbler went down, his foot was caught between the defender's legs, and caused the dribbler to go down. Personally, I still think it was a travel, or possibly a charge, but I'm just trying to figure out what he saw. Another question, why is the lead calling that? Wasn't that play right in front of the C? I know there have been several discussions about "getting the call right" and helping out, etc. I still feel that play was right in front of the C and he should have had a call of some sort.

I'm just guessing like everyone else, but I think it was called it a flopping block.

The Maryland player initiated contact, but it didn't look severe enough to call a charge. However, the Duke player goes flying. I think it would have been a no-call until the Maryland player gets tripped up and goes down; hence, the late block call.

Surprise, surprise, Coach K was stunned at the call.

In the mode of game management, it was so close that if a charge was called, it would have been okay since Duke was up by 25 or so.
