Jeff,
For a comprehensive list of questions and answers of these types, please go to http://www.startofficiating.com/ - this is the best place to learn everything there is to know about getting started in officiating. If you have any questions beyond what is on the Start Officiating site, please let us know and we'll be happy to help. Finally, a website for this!
I think a link should be posted at the top of every discussion board.

Nice job, Brad! For anyone who frequents any of the discussion boards, we see a post similiar to this at least once a week. Your site answers all of the FAQs!

Very good. You may want to mention that it is a good idea to start thinking about the sport you wish to offiicate several months before the season actually begins. For example, if you wish to officiate football, June is a good time to start asking questions. You wait until September, it is too late.
I like your state by state and you did a good job with all the political questions about officiating. |

I think it is fair to mention not all states use assigning boards or sect. I think a lot of areas use the direct AD or possibly sport specific assinors who are not related to the boards or associations.
My ultimate guess is there are 50 ways of doing it around the country. |
