Here in Montana, our Association prohibits all students of member schools from entering more than five (5) quarters of basketball in any one day [Class C-six (6) quarters].
Any other States use this system or one similar to it? My question has to do with ejections... A3 is ejected due to the acquisition of two T's in game one and after playing in four quarters of that game... Policy... This player must sit out the next game... What if the next game follows the first one... Legally this person would have only played in one or two quarters of this game anyway... Does this constitute the next game in your State? TIA

It would be a moot point. Kids can't play in more than one game in a day.

In Nebraska lets say a kid gets kicked out of a JV game and he also playes some on varsity. He can not play in any game at all until the completion of the next JV game as they must sit till / threw the completion of the next game of whatever level of game that they were playing at the time of the ejection

Example: A varsity starter plays in a JV game (for whatever reason) and is ejected. It happens to be the last game before Christmas break. The Varsity team is schedule to play in two 3-4 day tourneys over the break while the JV team's next game is after school starts back. That player will be ejected until the JV team plays another game and will miss all of the Varsity's tournament games. The same goes for coaches. Imagine a varsity coach in the same situation (the JV coaching staff all have the flu) and is helping on the JV bench and gets tossed. He'll miss the entire tourney.

There is a rule in place about how many quarters a player plays in a season, not in a night. This is also not something the officials keep track of or enforce. Whoever is in the game can play as long as they are properly in the book.
Peace
