not sure where I thought I read that
the mechanic on a kick ball is no longer
a "kick with the leg". It is simply a
floor violation, official should point to
the floor and then to the spot of the OB.

Am I dreaming this or does anyone have
thoughts?

Wasn’t questioning the rule, I’m questioning the mechanic.

You're dreaming it.
