Well, judging by the response to biz, where it took til about the fifth poster to realize there was a new rule about removin the jersey, it might take til 2007 before this gets resolved, lol...

Sitch: Scrum on the floor, ball loose, gets kicked out and A1 drains a shot, partner stops play because defender B2 comes out of scrum holding nose. She goes off the floor, sub comes in (beckoned on), then I see blood on the floor so we stop and get the kit to clean it up. Team B wants to take time out to but B into game. Can they? NFHS.

Yes, as long as the player is ready by the end of the timeout, that player can come back into the game.

Peace

But if she needs a new jersey, then she better change it outside the visual confines of the court within the allotted time.

No they can no longer buy this player in with a timeout. She'd already been replaced. She must remain out until the next opportunity after the clock has run. If they had tended to her but not made the substitution, they would have the option of keeping the player in the game with a timeout.

I did not say it was likely, I just said it was allowed. Also the player does not have to change the jersey. The team just has to get the saturated blood out of the uniform. That can be done with the right solution.

Peace

Great point camron.

That's the point I wanted to get to...we had actually beckoned the sub on the floor before we realized there was blood on the court, so she had been replaced, we talked about it while they were cleaning and allowed it and nobody questioned it of course but in the locker room we felt like it was probably wrong.
