Does the coach get 30 seconds to replace an injuried or bleeding player?

Taking Part II tomorrow, it's open book for me, but game time isn't. Thanks

YES. 10-5-3

Nevada,

Thanks for the quick reply. May I get a reference, please?

another question about timing from part 2 test is:
A coach has 30 seconds to replace a player that has been told to go to the bench for not wearing uniform properly????

Oops,

I think there had to be a sub ASAP

Careful.

After the injured player has been moved off the court, the coach has 30 seconds to replace him/her. There is no time limit as to moving the kid off of the court.

I'm just shooting from the hip, but I'm sayin no on this one. Dammit, if I've gotta send a kid to the bench for shirt tucked issues, that mean's we're laready on at least strike 3 with this one. I'll be damned if I'm gonna let em drag it out for 30.

One of my biggest pet peeves is the damn 30 second replacement rule. Had a situation just this weekend where a kid fouled out. Kid heads toward the bench. Coach points him back toward the floor. He gives one of his buddies a hug. Then, coach takes a step or two on the floor, gives the DQed kid a high 5 and tells him what a good game he played. Just a bunch of BS. Don't get me wrong, I didn't feel like he was trying to show us up or anything, but just a bunch of needless crap. FOr crying out loud, when ya got a DQed player, let's get him out and get one in and move on.

On that note, has anyone ever whacked a coach for failure to replace within the allotted 30 seconds? I feel like doing it this year just to make a point, but, I doubt it'll happen.

You just shot your foot off when you shot from the hip. 30 seconds for DQ, injury, or player directed to leave the game. 10-5-3

I have. The coach decided he wanted to use his allotted 30-seconds to stare me down, or berate me about the call (I forget which). As soon as the horn sounded (only one horn back then), I made a point of looking at the table, saying, "No sub?" and issuing the T.
