People have many different opinions on this topic. I believe that talking to a coach like Rut said is the right thing to do. This plays into preventive officiating. I think as officials that we need to remember that we are there to render our service for the schools (teams) that are playing and not the other way around. I know that in the college game you need to be extremely open and honest with the coach, tell them what you saw and what you didn't see. They appreciate honesty.
