Did anyone have their games cancelled or rescheduled tonight? It has been snowing here since early this afternoon.

Peace

My game got cancelled tonight. I thought I would be able to go to my daughter's choir concert instead, but then that got cancelled as well.

Oh, darn; I guess I'll have to struggle thru sitting at home and watching IL basketball on TV. :)

You boys stay away from airports.

I saw that as well. Geesh. Glad it wasn't worse.

Our company is having our annual Christmas party tomorrow, and we have people coming in from CA, IA, FL, and AR. A couple of them are connecting through Chicago, (O'Hare, not Midway) and might not make it in because of the weather.

I'm gettin' back under the covers and staying there.

I had a Fresh/Soph game tonight that was called off. Varsity tomorrow night, hopefully it doesn't get called off, but I think there's a pretty good chance it will.

It doesn't get any worse than a six-year-old getting killed.

You can say that again. Unbelievable.

Live every day as if it's your last. One day you'll be right.

Back to less tragic matters: game cancelled today. I gotta go out & mow the driveway soon.

btw M&M, your email's bouncing back to me. Maybe it hit a snow drift?

JRutledge Fri Dec 09, 2005 11:19am

I did not know when I posted my last post that a child was killed. That is really unfortunate.

Peace

Me too.

Snowed out tonight, certainly for the best as the roads around here are terrible.

I didn't lose any games, but my school cancelled classes yesterday. That means one less day of golf for me next summer. I'm a big fan of the late start, but I hate it when we are cancelled.

JRutledge Fri Dec 09, 2005 12:35pm

All my games are going on tonight. The school I am going to got very little snow according to the reports. I hope that was the case.

Peace

Wah Wah Wah!! A couple inches of snow fly and the whole damn state shuts down. That's outrageous. Up here, the only thing that gets school cancelled is 3 kids breaking into the bus garage and slashing tires on 47 busses and disconnecting the engine block heaters.

:( I hadn't heard that right away either. "That sucks" just doesn't come close to covering it.

My game was still on last night, but a 1/2 hour trip took two hours!!

Final score of the game - 17-15!

Thought it was football for a minute!!

NAIA game last night usually takes 1 and 1/2 hours to get there, said they wasn't expecting anything till after midnight..got a little closer about 30 minutes away, 3 inches of snow and 1/2" ice on top of that, took 2 1/2 more hours to get 30 miles, accidents everywhere!!!! game went great 120-90...Longer drive home, got home around 2:30 am, got up came to school to give semester exams, i'm a zombie!! Gotta love winter!!

Just found out my BV game tonight is cancelled. The assigned 3-person crew gets first choice when the game is rescheduled. LOL, not sure that I want it. The home team is a brand new HS (no seniors), and the opponent is one of the worst teams in the region.
