Hello, friends--

I'm an occasional poster to this forum under another name. This year, rather than bug everyone here with the daily ups and downs of my games, I've decided to blog about it.

I searched for an officials' blog out there, and I could find very few. A Google search for "officiating blog" yields many sports blogs ragging on officials. I decided there needed to be something out there describing a season from a regular ref's perspective. So I started one. If you'd like to come by and see what's up, feel free. If not, thanks for your time. And if you know of other officials' blogs, tell me about them as well.

Thanks!

What kind of software do you use to blog?

BloggingRefGuy Fri Dec 02, 2005 12:58am

No software. I just do it through Blogspot.

I've wondered about officials' blogs, too, but didn't know how to look for one.

It feels kind of funny to be asked to visit one. The last time anyone talked to me about their blog, it was my 21-year-old son and he DIDN"T want me looking at his!

LOL and I will do the same! My mom snooped in my stuff and I plan on doing the same to my kid. My son has a right to privacy after he becomes an adult and lives elsewhere.

You have to do it very, very circumspectly, and never let on. If you find something that MUST be addressed, you've got to find a reasonable excuse for knowing. I always used putting away their clean clothes when I wanted to snoop in their rooms. But you can get really valuable "background information" if you snoop carefully. I recommend it highly.

Good advice. My wife and I both share the laundry so that excuse will work for me too. When he's 13 (he's only 3 now), am I allowed to keep the magazines that I confiscate?

Absolutely. How do you think I'm able to fill in the holes in my collection? :D

When he's 13 (in 10 years) I doubt there will be any magazines.

You'll have to search his computer.

Sorry Dan, but there will always be magazines.

I'm not putting a computer in my bathroom.

Why you gotta bust my balls???

We're not talking about what you would do 10 years from now(you old SOB), we're talking about what a 13 year old will do 10 years from now.

(This is where you tell me it's your opinon, and I tell you I don't care about your opinion, and you tell me you don't care about my opinion...and so forth and so on.)
