On the opening jump, jumper A1 taps ball directly OOB. What is the proper procedure?
How and when is the arrow set? Who gets the ball on tne next alternating possession?

Ball to B. Arrow to A.

Right. And the arrow is set when the ball is at the disposal of B for the throw-in. 4-3-3 (it will only be important if there is a technical foul after the violation but before the ball is at the disposal of B, or if B violates on the throw-in).

Remember, there is no possession on a "jump ball"! The arrow can only be set once possession is obtained, and in this case possession is by virtue of a violation.

Ball to b, and arrow to a. Indeed remember that there is no possession on a "jump ball". Just pray after you set it to a tht there is not a throw in violation!! :')
