Team A inbounds after a timeout, partner is T, I'm L. On the inbounds play, Team A puts up a shot, and scores. I blow whistle and assess a tech to Team A for too many players on the court (illegal participation). Score the goal, two free throws to Team B for tech, then Team B gets ball at halfcourt opposite the table for throw in. Question: should the basket by Team A have counted, since the violation was noticed after the basket?

Yes, this isn't a correctable error. You did it "by the book."

But certainly this is a preventable error - both you and your partner should have counted ten players and not allowed the throw-in to proceed until you both gave each other the "go sign."
