They are Nike Shox Elevate's
How do thet shine up and how does the shox feel. I have never owned a pair. Or maybe a similar suggestion. http://shoedeals4u.com/images/shoes/...308575-001.jpg [Edited by afrothunda on Nov 28th, 2005 at 11:13 AM] |
Parts of the shoe will gloss up OK, but the lower portion of the toe is Nubuck (a suede-like material). Also, Nike's leather is most often a synthetic leather, so it won't hold a gloss for long.

Yeah, that black cloth on the side will not shine and I would stay away from them.

I have to disagree. Although I don't have them, this has been a very popular shoe over the past year or so. Yes, the bottom part will not shine, but the rest of the shoe will shine if done properly. What is properly for this shoe? I don't know. I do know that stripping shoes, like Leather Luster suggests, works on some shoes to remove that top layer. I'm partial to either having a professional shoe man shine my shoes or using Griffin's. My friend, on the west coast, just got these shoes http://www.footaction.com/catalog/pr...4447&mvp=sport (that is a long link, I hope it works). I tried them on and they are comfortable. I would say they look a little better in person than the picture.

I agree with Tomegun, this shoe is very popular among officials in this area. Some officials swear by this shoe. I have a pair of the low-cut shox, that shoe is very comfortable and light.

The only way I'd be able to wear that shoe for a game is if I colored in all of the gray on it. Shoes have to be all black around here...
|
Everyone has different tastes and most importantly needs for their feet, ankles, and knees. I think it's cool looking shoe. If it's what you like and it feels good, looks like a good option to me. I wouldn't lose sleep over that small amount of gray, but if it's a problem, hit the gray with some black polish and you're good to go. How much do they cost?

I found them on shoedeals4u.com for around 80. I have seen them for 50 dollars a while back.

Try NIKE SHOX ELITE OT, these shoes are very close in style to the ELEVATES but do not have the suade material on them. I've been using them for about a year, they our very comfortable. I found them on ebay. If you have never worn nike shox before make sure you try a pair on before ordering the sizes run alittle small for me.

So what shoes are in your bag?

http://www.sneakerhead.com/308264-001.html, with a shine sponge. Extra comfortable and light. Also a pair of Reebok "The Ref" patent leather. Had to add gel insoles, Reeboks are always too flat for my feet. Also, used the Nike Shox Rollin Low (black/silver) some last year, but too much of the gray showed. Very comfortable also. http://www.pickyourshoes.com/athleti...rollin_wht.htm [Edited by SeanFitzRef on Nov 30th, 2005 at 12:30 PM] |

Been lurking for a while and finally decided to post. I value all of your opinions and have learned a lot from this great site. I was looking for a new pair of shoes last year and ended up building an all black pair of these Nike Shox at niketown.com. Best investment I ever made. Great comfort and support. Used them 1/2 of last year and they still look great and shine. I would definite recommend getting them.

I'll probably keep using them for the season, but I may have to go to a different shoe next season. |
Here are the shoes that I bought this year and have started using. I bought them off ebay for 28.99 with 8.99 shipping. There is no white in the little holes, it is just the way the camera took the picture. I am very happy with there shine and feel. Adidas SuperStar style.

Dude...those are one ugly pair of shoes. LMAO! Edit: I'm sorry bannind...but, I just have to rib you a little more. ;) If those ebay shoes had a mother and a father... the mother would be polishable leather and the father would be patent. I mean look at them...part leather and part patent leather, they don't know what they want to be. And another thing...they are way to "busy". Holes and stripes and whatever that is on the toe. Man, if any shoes needed puking on...these get my vote. (Don't feel bad bannind...I have some ebay horror stories also.) :D [Edited by RookieDude on Dec 4th, 2005 at 02:23 AM] |

IMO, they look no worse than patent leather shoes. I wouldn't wear these, but if I would I would wear them before patent leather shoes. :D (I know that doesn't make sense; I'm bored on Sunday night).
