I was officiating in a thanksgiving tournament the past couple of days (AAU). I did not see the ball before the game (partner tossed it etc)

The ball was a Wilson ball (no NFHS logo) but it was a 10 panel ball, but two of them were on the side (they almost looked square)

I was not sure the ball was legal, anyway cae home and read rule that says all the panel must be horizontal. Based on the rule this ball was not legal correct?

Sounds like it probably wasn't a legal ball, which is probably why there was no NFHS logo.

What model was it?

Glad you saw the humor there...many on this board miss it too often. :D

Or that Wilson chose not to pay the NFHS licensing fee for all their balls...just the ones most often used by schools. Just because it doesn't have the logo doesn't mean that the ball is not otherwise legal.
