Wink

I can't remember who was using this on their posts (or is still using it) but I have a 5th grade girl in my room today wearing a shirt that says, "I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you." Just thought I'd share, it kind of made me smile.

Reminds me of one I saw:

"To err is human, to blame it on somebody else is cool."

P.S. Mark: Did you see in the Oregonian that the one coach was indicted, and will be tried, and the other one's charges, too, are being firmed up? I still can't believe it of him.

Hey Juulie, I'm curious, what was he charged with?

The coach that's been indicted was charged with kidnapping, delivering a controlled substance to a minor, sodomy, sexual assault and a couple of other nasty things that I can't remember. It appears that she (yes, folks, a female coach is being charged with sex crimes) lured one of the players to a park, drugged her, got her in the bushes (or a car? maybe?) and then did whatever sexual things she did.

Today for the first time, the paper said he's being accused of an inappropriate sexual relationship with a minor. I'm hearing gossip that it's a false charge, and the teenager involved has already admitted she lied, but that the schools have to investigate and conduct a full inquiry anyway. And we all know that once an accusation like that is made, it never goes away, regardless of whether it was ever true or not. His teaching and coaching careers -- at least in Oregon -- is over.

It's an incredible shame if the girl made this up. Juulie - as we both know, he is a terrific coach and a terrific person. This is a real tragedy. My kids had him as a teacher in HS and thought he was great.
