Just got back from a game where I had a brain fahrt and cannot remember where to find this in the rules book:
A1 begins try and ball is in FLIGHT and A2 fouls B2 during the flight. Basket goes in. (Before bonus) Do you count the basket and award the ball out of bounds or cancel and award the ball out of bounds? Please provide rule number, too. Thanks. |

Count the basket.
If the designated spot for the foul is on the endline, B gets to run. NCAA rule reference is 6-6.1.c: A live ball shall not become dead until the try in flight ends when: A foul occurs. I'll leave it to someone else to get the NFHS reference. |

NFHS
Rule number 6, Live Ball and Dead Ball. Section 7, Dead Ball, Article 7, Exception 2
