Can anyone tell me about the NCAA rulings on head bands? Last night, I saw an official tell a coach that certain colored head bands could not be worn and then he said white could not be worn with dark uniforms. Help.

Headbands and wristbands must be roughly the same color as the uniform.

NCAA 3-5-15; 3-5-16; Rule 3 AR 21. (All new this season.)

So.....if the uniforms are magenta, then it's OK if the headbands/wristbands are puce?

Are they roughly close enough?

headbands and wristbands need to be the color of the "DOMINATE" color of the uniform...so red shirt outlined in white, should have red headbands....

Well, roughly speaking I would have to say shut up.

My wife has always said that I'm a little color blind...I'm glad!

I don't know what 'puce' is, but magenta and anything closely related to it...it red to me! Headbands/sweatbands better be red to!

My favorite color is plaid.

My best friend has a 4-year old daughter. I recently overheard this conversation, when he was trying to find the owner of a car who left the headlights on.

My friend: "Do you have a red car, parked right out front?"

Owner: "I have a maroon car. . ."

My friend: "Sorry. I only deal in primary colors."

That story is hysterical to anybody who has raised a toddler within the last 50 years. You might be too old to remember that far back. . . ;)

Wait a minute...I thought pucing was to be done on people's shoes...and thanks Dan, for making me have to go find another rag to wipe the coffee off my monitor...I gotta stop reading these things - poor monitor has coffee stains all over it...

A.R. 21. Substitute A6 attempts to enter the playing court with a headband or wristband that is not in compliance with the single, dominant color of the game jersey.
RULING: Substitute A7 shall not be permitted to enter the game before either wearing the appropriate head band or wristband or removing them.


It's all well and good that the NCAA tells us that A7 shall not be permitted to enter, but what the %&^%( do we do about A6?
