I'm glad for him. I've been at camp with Eli and watched him work. He does a very good job, obviously. Some of the scuttlebutt was that Eli probably could've been hired two years ago, but had to wait for some more senior guys to get hired first. Hope he makes the roster.

After I saw this thread I consulted the newspaper, and went to a friends house to see the game on tape delay. Props to Eli!!

Juulie, I think Tony was referring to the poster named "crew" (real name Tony). I met Tony down in Florida once while he was at a camp. He claimed to be on the ACC staff, although I don't know if ever worked any conference games.

Drake is still an active official at the D1 level in the western part of the country, but doesn't post here much. I occasionally hear from him via email, but not lately.

Correct. Crew, the guy who made up the rules as he went along.
